World of Haab: May 2007

Life as a Haab.....

.....is truly never boring. If its not parasailing, capturing intense film shots, blowing things up, or enjoying a weird sense of humour....its something else. This time it was cliff-jumping. Ben and I while doing some jogging, discovered a big waterfall and cliffs behind our house on the Ergolz River. So we trekked in a ways and Ben decided it was the 'perfect cliff-jumping site'......next thing I know Ben has invited our roomates and other friends in the area for a BBQ and Cliff-Jumping day. Here are some of the pictures from the day....it was a lot of fun. That day I did not jump... it looked pretty scary!!! But with many days of Ben's persistance, I did it also last week. And it WAS fun afterall....too bad we didn't have a picture to prove it. I guess I will have to go again....;-)

Modepreis Basel 2007

Ben and I had a really cool opportunity last night. Ben met a man earlier this week named Michael Flume, who happens to know all the celebrities living in and near Basel city and has actually written a book on them....soooo long story short...Ben gets invited to Basel's top fashion show to do some video work! Michael was directing and DJ-ing the event. It was AWESOME.
When we got there there was a huge line to get in...advance tickets only. But because was on the "List" we just got to walk on by to the giant security guards in front of the doors. All Ben said was "I am Benjamin Haab" and they parted the seas and said "Go right in, Sir" (and of course I was allowed too).... it was all we could do to burst out laughing as we went in....one of those experiences I thought you only see in movies....Here are some photos and there are more on Facebook.....which is still stealing our time. Transformations

The most recent of my small projects.

So Facebook is now stealing all of our time...arg. So, hence the pictures, we went on a camping trip to Italy last weekend! It was a great time. We saw the sights of Venice....and quickly realized it is so much bigger than we thought! Life has been great the past few weeks....we are keeping busy but always make time for fun ...of course. Ben has been editing for mannnny many hours the last few days and I have been helping put together the Soul Works newsletter and trying to catch up the book-keeping. I will also be continuating my education with a couple distance courses that will go until mid August. And well...theres a brief little update for you, nothing crazy -exciting! And we hope you are all keeping very well!!
