Picture Update

We went skiing in Andermatt for Easter. It was about +12 degrees that day skiing and the view was absolutley incredible. This is a church in Andermatt with mountain behind it.
Here is a mountain at Andermatt
Here we are in Wadenswil where Ben's dad grew up. Ben made a new friend....this picture makes me laugh because Ben is just SO happy when he finds cat. You can see the happiness all over his face...Ben, you are such a softie!
A nice view from above the farm in Wadenswil. It is currently my most favorite place!
This is me and Reggy.
Ben has a strong dislike of horseback riding....so I was very proud when he tried it again. This is him post-ride.....glad to be done I think.

The beginning of our crazy night. We had races on the electric trolly's!
This is the result of too much sugar, three AM, and a late night of work.....
And this.....
AND this.....
This too.....
And again..... We had fun with the air nozzle....!
A couple weeks ago we went up to some old castle ruins and had snowball fights and sledding. Very fun day.
This is Manuela with her two girls Jordan and Shannon. She is our German teacher and I get to babysit the girls fairly often.

Bryan and Ben after a crazy slide down the hill.
Here is Ben doing what he does best!

"Multi-lingual Washrooms....

.....no wait! I mean multi-sexual!" So it seems the more we learn German...the more our English gets screwed up! For instance...."Jon and Behanna" has been used on more than one occasion. Its getting a little ridiculous. Cady did you find this to be true?? When simple sentance structure goes out the window??? Pretty soon we won't be able to speak English or German and have to resort to caveman-like grunts.
So onto the latest near-death experience....(Darwin has it out for me I think...):
It seems my interactions with these Haab boys is a threat to my well-being. I don't think I will ever be the kind of wife with a "knight-in-shining-armour-defend-me-from-all-harms-way" husband.....rather he's the kind that will just grab me and drag me along for the ride! BUT to be fair.....When it counts Ben is always there for me. Especially last week when he saved me yet again. Here is the scenario: There is a 5ton cube truck with a hydraulic lift on the back. We had borrowed it to move Bryan's studio across Basel. On the way home we stopped for supper at a friends place and when it was time to leave....Bryan jumped into the drivers seat and *click* he locked all the doors and with a fiend-ish grin began to drive away. Johanna smartly figures "my brother in law won't run me over....I will just jump in front and block the way..." Johanna thinking how smart she is and goes ahead and jumps in front of the moving vehicle. Guess what. Bryan doens't stop but Johanna's cat-like reflexes (which Ben loves so much) help her to quickly dart out of the way. In the meantime Ben jumps on the back of the truck and easily climbs over the 6ft high hydraulic tail-gate. Johanna is running behind the truck and also jumps on the back.....BUT too short to get over the gate...and it is too awkward for ben to get a good grasp to pull it over.....Johanna holds onto Ben's neck, standing on her tipee-toes as Bryan turns onto the AUTOBAHN ( thinking Ben and Johanna are BOTH safe in the back of the truck). As cars go by and drive right behind our truck...Johanna is screaming and threatening to jump off as Bryan picks up speed. (You see all logic is thrown out in these situations) So....finally Ben yells to Johanna to grasp tightly around his neck as he lifts her straight up and over the back with one arm screaming and ripping his shirt with buldging muscles and throbbing veins....OK so not quite like that....But Ben did save Johanna's life. And alls well that ends well....right? So Now that I'm on my 4th life....I think I will be a bit more careful and aware of what these boys are trying to persuade me into.....! Hope all is well with everyone, Love Johanna and Ben
